Southeastern Ohio ENT opportunity for a solo practice or to join an established ENT currently practicing in a 5 county service area (either scenario would include shared call). The new associate would be expected to perform the full range of Otolaryngology procedures (not limited to, but may include adenoidectomy, allergy therapy/treatment, foreign body removal, laser stapedectomy, lesion excision, nasal endoscopies, nasolaryngoscopy, rhinoplasty, septoplasty, tonsillectomy, turbinectomy, tympanoplasty, tympanostomies & tubes). The practice environment has access to a strong referral base and on-site audiology. The office building is directly adjacent to the hospital, providing easy access to outpatient surgery and ancillary services. The hospital recently broke ground on a 94,000 square foot, $25 million dollar expansion designed to provide better access to care for patients and families. The project will provide a new South Pavilion to the hospital right at the corner of Matthew and Ferguson Streets. It will house a new 18,000 square foot emergency department that will provide up to 30 treatment rooms, new operating rooms, family friendly waiting areas and support services. The hospital’s Emergency Department, for example, treated 29,415 people in 2002, an 18.5 percent increase over the number of emergency patients just five years before. Also in 2002, we performed 9,651 procedures in its operating suites, a large jump from just two years ago. Other potential areas of interest include service beginning in a new $3.1 million (16,000 square foot) outpatient surgery center in March 2000, new center consists of ten private, multifunctional rooms with state of the art technology, more than 5,000 outpatient procedures and surgeries performed annually, 700 OB deliveries per year, laboratory and full service radiology center (including 1.5 Tesla magnet MRI and Spiral CT) located on site.
